About Course

This course introduces the principles of inferential statistics, focusing on how sample data can be used to make conclusions about a population. Students will learn hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, normality assessment, and statistical techniques such as t-tests and ANOVA. The course also emphasizes the selection and interpretation of appropriate statistical tests in research.

What Will You Learn?

  • Understand the basic concepts of inferential statistics and its importance in research
  • Formulate statistical hypotheses
  • Conduct hypothesis testing and interpret statistical results
  • Distinguish between one-tailed and two-tailed tests
  • Identify appropriate statistical tests for different research situations
  • Calculate and interpret confidence intervals and point estimates
  • Assess data normality using graphs, descriptive statistics, and statistical tests.
  • Perform and interpret different types of t-tests (one-sample, independent samples, and paired samples).
  • Conduct Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to compare means across multiple groups.
  • Interpret statistical output and report results in research studies.
  • Apply inferential statistical techniques using statistical software
